Selecting a German course from B1 to C2 level

At B and C levels on the CEFR scale, we offer general language courses (all skills) and courses that focus on specific language skills (e.g. reading skills, grammar skills etc.). You can take these courses in any order within the level appropriate to your skills.

You will need to take at least 3 courses at each level before you will likely have the skills to move to the next level (B1-B2-C1).

The Self-Assessment Checklist of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages will help you choose the right level and the specific skills that you wish to work on within each level. For example, you are unlikely to be ready for a B2 level writing course if so far you have only attended two B1 speaking courses.
