FAQs: Swiss-German sign language
Q1: Is the Swiss-German sign language course taught in German?
German B1 level is a prerequisite for this course. However, sign language is three-dimensional and is produced differently from spoken language. On the one hand, the eyes are used to perceive the language; on the other hand, the hands, upper body, head (position), cheeks, facial expressions, and mouth are used to produce a linguistic message. The mouth image is usually based on German words.
