Course fees

The course fees will be adjusted as of 01.02.2024. 

UZH and ETH Bachelor’s, Master’s, and exchange students

UZH and ETH students are required to pay the following course fees:

1. CHF 80 for semester courses of 1 lesson per week (SWS)
2. CHF 100 for semester courses of 2 SWS
3. CHF 110 for semester courses of 3 SWS
4. CHF 120 for semester courses of 4 SWS
5. CHF 120 for Intensive German courses of 4 SWS
6. CHF 130 for semester courses of 5 SWS
7. CHF 140 for semester courses of 6 SWS
8. CHF 150 for semester courses of 7 SWS

Fees are published in each online course description. 

Courses which make up a fixed, compulsory part of a study program are free of charge.

There is no fee for courses that are fully funded by an organization of the UZH or ETH Zurich.

Doctoral/PhD students; UZH and ETH staff; UZH and ETH MAS, DAS, and CAS students;
members of the PHZH (Zurich University of Teacher Education)
members of the ZHdK (Zurich University of the Arts)

Doctoral/PhD students; UZH and ETH staff; UZH and ETH MAS, DAS, and CAS students; and members of the PHZH and the ZHdK are required to pay a fee that is calculated on the basis of the class size and number of lessons. These fees are published in each online course description.

UZH and ETH alumni

The course fees for UZH and ETH alumni are based on the course fees for UZH and ETH  doctoral/PhD students and staff, as well as for members of the PHZH and the ZHdK plus overhead costs. These fees are published in each online course description.
